SCHOOL OPENING HOURS
Core hours for pupils of statutory school age are Monday - Friday (08:55 - 15:30)
This equates to 32 hours and 55 minutes per week for 190 school days.
SCHOOL DAY TIMINGS
The school start and finish times are the same for KS1 and KS2. Classes begin at 8.55am and finish at 3.30pm. The Early Years children can be dropped off at 8.45pm
and need to be picked up at 3.20pm.
ROUTINES AND ENTRANCES
All gates will be opened by a member of staff at 8.45am when families may come in and wait in the areas close to where the year groups will line up.
KS1
Year 1 - parents should bring their children to the entrance by the cow sculpture where a teacher will meet them and take them into classrooms.
Year 2 - Parents and children should come through the Bee gate and wait for the teachers to collect them.
Children will be returned to these areas at the end of the day. There is a bike/scooter rack by the cow gate entrance that everyone is welcome to use.
KS2
Children from Y3-Y6 should enter through the Ryebank Gate. The first gate is open at 8.30am for families to collect in the cafe area. At 8.45am the inner gate will be opened and the children will walk calmly to their classrooms where their teacher will be waiting with their morning task. Similarly, the children will be brought back to the same area at 3.30pm for collection.
If you have children in EYFS/KS1 and children in KS2, the older children may come through the younger gates at 8.45am and walk to join their classes in their classroom. There will be plenty of staff on hand to direct children to where they need to be and they are very used to this routine.
