Wraparound Care

At St John’s, we are proud to offer a flexible, high-quality wraparound care provision for our families, with guaranteed places available for all children from Nursery through to Year 6.

Our morning and after-school provision runs from 7:45am until 6:00pm, helping to support busy family life while giving children a happy, familiar and engaging environment beyond the school day.

Alongside our wraparound care offer, children also have access to a wide range of enrichment clubs and activities after school. More information about our enrichment offer can be found here.

During after-school sessions, children enjoy a balance of indoor and outdoor play, creative activities, games and quieter spaces to relax with friends after a busy school day. Our experienced staff create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe, settled and excited to return each day.

A healthy snack and drink are provided during after-school sessions.

Breakfast club

Breakfast Club is run by our wonderful support staff, many of whom know the children well from across the school day. From 7:45am, children are welcomed into the hall by familiar adults and served a healthy breakfast to help them start the day feeling settled, happy and ready to learn. Doors close at 8:10am, after which children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 enjoy outdoor play and fresh air in our extensive school grounds. Children may choose to take part in tennis, ball games, loose parts construction or active play with friends before the school day begins.

Aftercare

Our Aftercare provision offers a safe, familiar and relaxed environment where children can unwind and enjoy time with friends at the end of the school day. Children come together in the hall for a healthy snack and drink before choosing from a range of activities led by our experienced and caring staff. Some children may enjoy relaxing in the library with a book, while others choose arts and crafts, dressing up, board games, construction activities or outdoor play.

Sessions run from 3:30pm–4:30pm and 4:30pm–5:30pm, with additional collection options available at 5:00pm and 6:00pm to suit the needs of different families. Places are available for all children from Nursery to Year 6, and flexible, last-minute booking options are available wherever possible to help support busy family life.
