Sacramental Programme

At our school, the Sacramental Programme is one of the most important expressions of our partnership with the parish. Together, we support our children as they grow in faith and prepare to receive the sacraments for the first time.

Each year, the majority of our children in Year 3 celebrate two very special moments in their faith journey:

  • The Sacrament of Reconciliation

  • The Sacrament of First Holy Communion

This preparation is a shared mission between school staff and the parish catechists, who work closely together to guide and accompany the children. Families also play a key role. Over the course of the year, parents are invited to attend three parish meetings, where they learn more about helping their children grow in faith and the children continue their “Heart Speaks to Heart” journey.

The celebration of First Holy Communion is always a beautiful and joyful day. Families gather with the parish community to celebrate their children receiving Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time.
